Japanese Anemones are by far one of the most attractive late flowering perennials producing masses of flowers on a range of stem lengths in August to October. Pictured here are our two most popular varieties namely Honorine Jobert (white) and September Charm (pink).
Their flowers are on tall stems reaching a height of 1.2m or 4ft giving the borders renewed colour in late Summer and early Autumn when most other Summer flowering perennials are looking tired. It's fine qualities have won it the prestigious Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.
When clumps become congested or spread beyond their bounds, consider lifting them and dividing them in early Spring.
